1.0 INTRODUCTION
Your Digiplex Security System is an advanced technology security system that will pro vi de you with reliable security
protection a nd power fu l feature s that ar e easy to use. The elegant and u se r-friend ly LCD keypa d will allo w you easy
access to your security system's functions and information at the touch of a button. The 32-character LCD screen
will d isplay messages and menus to guid e you through the system’s operations. Your Installer can even customize
the message s for your home o r b usiness.
Since you will communicate your in structions to your system th rough th e ke ypad, please re ad this manua l car efully
and have your Installer explain basic system operation.
If you ha ve the InTouch Voice Assisted Arm/Disarm Modu le (APR3-ADM2) conne cted to your Digiplex security
system, please refer to page 19 for operating instr uctio ns.
1.1 LEGEND
Indicates a warning or an important note.
Indicates use fu l in formation or a tip.

2.0 BASIC OPERATION
The follo wing sections will in tro duce you to the roles o f the buttons, lights, and messages on your LCD keyp ad.

2.1 AUDITORY FEEDBACK (BEEP TONES)
Wh en you enter information on the keypad, the keypad will guide you with beep tones to communicate the
accep tan ce or rejection of your entries.
Confirmation Beep: When a n operation (i.e. arming /disarming) is successfully entered or wh en the system
switches to a new status/mode, the ke ypa d emits an intermittent beep tone (
BEEP-B EEP-BEEP-BEEP -BEEP”).
Rejection Beep: When the system reverts to a previous status, or when an ope ration is incorrectly entered, the
keypa d e mits a co ntinuous be ep to ne (“
BEEEEEEEEEEP”).
The LCD screen w ill guide you
with detailed messages.
Use the arrow buttons to scroll
through the current menu when
the arrows appear in the LCD
screen.
ACTION BUTTONS:
Each button’s function is explained in the following sections of the manual.
STATU S” LIGHT:
When Green:
ON = All zones are closed.
OFF = One or more zones are open.
FLASH = Exit Delay
When Red:
ON = Area(s) armed
OFF = Area(s) disarmed
FLASH = System in Alarm
“AC” LIGHT:
ON = AC power
OFF = Power failure
[CLEAR] = Erases current data entry
or reverts to the preceding step.
[ENTER] = Saves current data and
exits current menu.
